| The view from our picnic table |
This is a city run campground, just north of the city on the shores of Lake Superior. The first couple loops are not very big rig friendly except for a few pull throughs. Most are better for pop-ups, small trailers or tents, in the 3rd loop there are a few that are bigger, we were in site #90 and it was Just long enough for our 30 ft 5th wheel and was fairly level. The best sites for bigger rigs are in the furthest and newest loop. There are about 5 sites that look directly out to the lake. We were in a FHU site that was $27 a night. There is a lot of road noise during the day but the views from this campground make all that disappear as an issue for us. I could just sit at my rig watch the lake. We think this is a great place to stay. They do take reservations and I am sure it is a very busy place all summer so I would call ahead and check before heading here.
